Stillheart is engaged in a major renovation and is currently estimated to be closed to the public until the middle of 2009.
Stillheart has been in operation for two years and has become very popular to groups seeking rest, relaxation, learning, and transformation of body and soul. We thank everyone who has stayed at Stillheart contributing to her success and look forward to continued achievement in creating a space that is sacred and beautiful.
The renovation of Stillheart includes moving the entrance from the Westside of the building to the Eastside, excavating an underground parking garage, adding new administrative offices, adding two massage rooms that will have access to an outdoor garden, and adding beautiful additional rooms which will be built on stilts amongst the Redwood trees. The rooms will give guests an opportunity to be surrounded by giant Redwoods as they sleep high above the ground or gaze into the forest with a bird’s eye view.
In addition, we are adding an elevator to the building so every floor of the lodge and pool will be accessible to people who are physically challenged. And, finally, the “skin” of the building will be changed from logs to horizontal siding. The impetus for this re-skinning is to ensure that the building is seismically safe.
We are excited about these changes knowing that the already wonderful energetic properties of Stillheart will be enhanced. We are very grateful for the two years that we have been in operation and for the love, joy and transformation that people have experienced at Stillheart.
